Crawford County, Illinois
Crawford County hugs the Wabash River in eastern Illinois. Robinson is the county seat, located in the center of the county.
Oil derricks pump alongside cornfields. It’s a blend of agriculture and industry. Heath Candy Company started in Robinson. Sweet, right? The Hutsonville Marsh is great for birdwatching.
The county is named after William Crawford. He never stepped foot here but this didn’t stop Illinois from naming it after him.
