Brown County, Illinois

Brown County is tucked away in west-central Illinois with Mount Sterling serving as the county seat. It’s small and quiet here. Rolling hills and forests break up the farmland.
The Illinois and La Moine River form the eastern border. Hunting is popular, especially for deer and turkey. Farmers grow corn, soybeans, and wheat. Many raise cattle here too.
The county’s population has been shrinking for years but locals are proud of their community. There’s not much nightlife, just a few local bars. Siloam Springs State Park is a nice spot for fishing and camping.
