Curry County, Oregon

Curry County hugs Oregon’s southwest corner, where the mountains tumble into the Pacific. It’s wild. Rugged. The kind of place that makes you feel small. The coastline’s a stunner, with hidden beaches and massive rock formations.
Port Orford claims to be the westernmost town in the lower 48. Folks here make their living from the sea or the visitors it draws. The Rogue River cuts through the county, famous for its salmon runs and whitewater rafting.
Inland, you’ve got the Siskiyou National Forest. Trees older than America itself. This forest takes up more than half of the space in the county. Gold Beach, despite the name, is more about fishing than sunbathing. This is the Oregon coast at its most raw and beautiful.
