Garza County, Texas

Garza County is located in North Texas. Post is the county seat, named after cereal king C.W. Post. He dreamed of building a utopia here. Didn’t quite work out, but the town’s still kicking.
The Caprock Escarpment cuts right through Garza County. It’s a sight to see, rising up from the plains of West Texas. Canyons, mesas, and grasslands. History runs deep here. Ancient Native American rock art can still be found hidden in the canyons.
Ranching is big business. You’ll see more cows than people most days. The landscape is rugged and beautiful. It’s quiet country, but that’s part of the charm. Stargazing is incredible. You’ve never seen so many stars in your life.
