Monroe County lies in eastern Arkansas, deep in the Mississippi Delta. Clarendon, the county seat, sits on the White River and is known for its connection to the outdoors.
The Cache River National Wildlife Refuge is partly in Monroe County. It’s known for its ancient cypress trees and excellent duck hunting.
