Carroll County, Arkansas
Up in the Ozarks of northwest Arkansas, Carroll County is a tale of two cities. Berryville and Eureka Springs share county seat duties, and they couldn’t be more different.
Berryville is your typical small town, while Eureka Springs is a Victorian-era resort that looks like it’s from a storybook. The entire downtown is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is just south of Eureka Springs. It’s home to rescued big cats. Hikers can hit up Lake Leatherwood City Park for mountain biking.
