Pawnee County, Nebraska

Pawnee County is down in the southeast corner of Nebraska, bordering the state of Kansas. It’s not the largest county. Pawnee City is the county seat. All 900 people.
The Big Nemaha River runs through here. Just like most of Nebraska, farming is the main gig. They grow all the usual Nebraska stuff.
The county has some history. It used to be Pawnee Indian territory. Now it’s just a quiet farm country. The county fair brings everyone together once a year.
