Southeast Nebraska is where Nemaha County calls home. The county’s a mix of farmland and forest so it’s not what most people expect from Nebraska.

Farming is still the big industry. But there’s some manufacturing too. Folks here are proud of their history. The Missouri River forms its eastern border, bordering the state of Missouri.

Auburn is the county seat. It’s a small town, but it’s got character. The county’s been around since before Nebraska was a state. Peru State College is here and it brings in some young folks.
