Pierce County, Wisconsin

Pierce County is on the western edge of Wisconsin. It’s right across the St. Croix River from Minnesota. River Falls is the largest city, home to University of Wisconsin–River Falls.
The Kinnickinnic River flows through it, a favorite spot for trout fishing. Agriculture is the main driver of the economy. You’ll see plenty of dairy farms and corn fields.
The county has some cool geology too. The “driftless area” covers part of Pierce County. It means the glaciers missed this spot, leaving behind a unique landscape. Pierce County is also known for its apple orchards. In fall, the place is crawling with apple pickers.
