Polk County, Nebraska

Polk County sits in the middle of eastern Nebraska. Osceola is the county seat. The county’s location makes it a central spot for local events and gatherings.
The landscape is mostly flat so it’s perfect for farming. And farm they do. They grow corn and soybeans as far as the eye can see. There’s some cattle too.
The population’s been holding steady. Platte River forms the northern boundary. Winters can be brutal. Summers aren’t much better. But spring and fall? Beautiful. Community’s important here. Neighbors still help neighbors.
