Stoddard County is down in the Bootheel region of Missouri. Dexter is the largest town with close to 7,900 people. But Bloomfield is the county seat.

Stoddard County is also home to Mingo National Wildlife Refuge. It’s a wetland wonderland, perfect for birdwatching and fishing. Swampy and relaxing area.

The county has got a rich agricultural heritage. Cotton and soybeans are big crops here. And if you’re into history, check out the Stars and Stripes Museum. It’s dedicated to the military newspaper of the same name.
