Thurston County, Nebraska

Thurston County sits up in northeast Nebraska, right along the Iowa border. Pender is the county seat but Winnebago is the biggest town.
The county’s unique in Nebraska. It’s mostly reservation land. Home to the Omaha and Winnebago tribes. Farming’s still a big deal here. But there’s a casino too that brings in some tourism.
The Missouri River forms the eastern border, which makes for some pretty views. It’s a place where cultures mix. Native American, white, Hispanic. All in all, this creates an interesting vibe.
