Thomas County Map, Nebraska

Thomas County is in the middle of the Nebraska Sandhills. The Nebraska National Forest occupies the southeastern region of the county.

Thurston County sits up in northeast Nebraska, right along the Iowa border. Pender is the county seat but Winnebago is the biggest town.

Valley County is planted right in the heart of central Nebraska. Ord is the county seat. It’s a small town, but it’s got character.

Washington County is in Eastern Nebraska, just north of Omaha. It borders Iowa to the east. Blair is the county seat.

Wayne County sits in Northeast Nebraska. Wayne is the county seat. It’s also the biggest town. Wayne State College is here.

Webster County is in south-central Nebraska. Red Cloud is the county seat. It’s famous for being the childhood home of Willa Cather.

Wheeler County sits right in the middle of Nebraska. Bartlett is the county seat. The Cedar River runs through the county.

East-central Nebraska is where York County calls home. York is the county seat and also the biggest town. Interstate 80 runs through.

Carson City, the capital of Nevada, is in the western part of the state, just east of Lake Tahoe. The city has some serious Old West history.

Churchill County lies out in the high desert of western Nevada. Fallon is the county seat and is the biggest town around here.

Clark County is where the Mojave Desert stretches out under a blazing sun. It’s in the southern tip of Nevada next to Arizona and California.

Douglas County sits in western Nevada, right on the California border. It’s where the Sierra Nevada mountains meet the high desert.

Elko County sits in the far corner of northeastern Nevada, bordering Idaho and Utah. It’s the second largest county in Nevada.

Esmeralda County lies way down in the southwest corner of Nevada. It’s one of the least populated counties in the entire United States.

Eureka County sits in the middle of Nevada. It’s a place that feels like stepping back in time. The population is extremely sparse.
