US Counties

Bottineau County is up in North Dakota’s north-central region. It’s right on the Canadian border with the Turtle Mountains as an attraction.

Cavalier County occupies the northeastern corner of North Dakota. Langdon is the county seat. Agriculture dominates the landscape.

Dickey County is in southeastern North Dakota, right along the South Dakota border. Ellendale is the county seat but Oakes is most populous.

Divide County is up in the northwest corner of North Dakota. It’s right on the Montana and Canadian borders. Crosby is the county seat.

Dunn County sprawls across west-central North Dakota in the Badlands region. The landscape is a mix of rugged buttes and rolling prairie.

Eddy County is in east-central North Dakota. It’s small, one of the state’s least populous counties. New Rockford serves as the county seat.

Emmons County stretches along the Missouri River in south-central North Dakota. Linton is the county seat with about 1,000 residents.

Foster County is right in the middle of eastern North Dakota. A patchwork of farms and small towns is this county in a nutshell.

Golden Valley County paints a stunning picture in southwestern North Dakota. The county has some badlands terrain. Beach is the county seat.

Grand Forks County hugs the Minnesota border in northeastern North Dakota. The city of Grand Forks is home to about 60,000 people.

Grant County is in southwestern North Dakota. Cedar Creek forms the southern border with Heart River cutting through the northern region.
