Washington County is out on the eastern plains of Colorado. Akron is the county seat. There’s not much going on, but that’s kind of the point.

Yep, farming and ranching are key industries here. It makes sense when the land is flat and the sky is huge. Hunting is also popular here. 

The Akron Municipal Airport hosts a big air show. There’s a cool pioneer museum in Akron if you’re into history. It’s not for everyone, but if you want peace and quiet, Washington County delivers.
