Schuyler County, Illinois
Schuyler County is a small patch of rural Illinois in between the Illinois and La Moine rivers. Rushville is the county seat. The county has a rich history. It was part of the Military Tract, land given to veterans of the War of 1812.
These days, things move pretty slow though. You’ll see a lot of pickup trucks and tractors in this county. Friday night high school football games are still community events.
Approximately 7,000 residents live here so it’s not big by any means. Schuyler County isn’t trying to be anything it’s not. It’s just a quiet corner of Illinois where people value their roots.
