Brown County, Kansas
Up in northeast Kansas, Brown County is all rolling hills and farmland. Hiawatha, the county seat, goes nuts for Halloween. They put on a massive Halloween Frolic that’s been going strong for over a century.
And don’t miss the Davis Memorial in Hiawatha. It’s a bit odd but totally worth seeing. Either way, it’ll definitely give you something to talk about over beers later.
The Sac and Fox Casino brings in folks looking to try their luck. If you’re into classic cars, the Brown County Blackjack Motorcycle Club puts on a mean show every summer. About 9,500 people call it home.
