Calloway County is in southwestern Kentucky, right by the Tennessee border. About 39,000 people live here, with Murray as the county seat.
Murray State University is here, which has been an institution for over 100 years. The Tennessee River forms the eastern border, including part of Kentucky Lake.
Calloway County is known for its dark-fired tobacco, but don’t light up in public places. U.S. Route 641 cuts through the county and Murray, the county seat. Kentucky Lake makes this a hub for outdoor fun.
