Texas Counties

Cameron County sits at the southernmost tip of Texas, right on the Gulf of Mexico and the Rio Grande. It’s hot down there.

Camp County is in the northeastern part of the state, nestled in the Piney Woods region. It’s one of the smaller counties in Texas.

Wide open spaces and big Texas skies. That’s what you’ll find in Carson County. It’s in the middle of the Panhandle, where the land is flat.

Cass County stretches across the northeastern corner of Texas, bordering Arkansas and Louisiana. It’s where history runs deep.

Castro County is in Panhandle region in Northern Texas. It’s farm country, pure and simple. You’ll find miles of wheat fields here.

Chambers County hugs the Gulf Coast just east of Houston. Anahuac is the county seat and is known as the “Alligator Capital of Texas”.

Cherokee County lies deep in the Piney Woods of East Texas. It’s a place steeped in natural beauty and history, like the Cherokee tribe.

Childress County is in the southeastern corner of the Texas Panhandle. It’s cattle country and always has been. The county seat is Childress.

Clay County is in North Texas, straddling the Red River on the Oklahoma border. The area has deep agricultural roots, with lots of ranches.

Cochran County is out in West Texas, right on the New Mexico border. It’s dry. Real dry. Morton is the county seat in Cochran County.

Coke County, Texas, is a quiet, rural county in the western part of the state. The county seat belongs to Robert Lee, the city.

Coleman County sits in the heart of Texas. Agriculture and ranching are the backbone of the economy. Coleman is the county seat.

Life in Collin County moves fast. It’s part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in northeast Texas. Plano and McKinney are the big cities here.

Collingsworth County is way up in the Texas Panhandle. It’s on the east side, bordering Oklahoma. It’s flat here and cotton is king.

Colorado County, Texas sits between Houston and San Antonio, in the coastal plains. The county seat belongs to Columbus.
