Cumberland County, Illinois
Cumberland County is a small and rural area with Toledo serving as the county seat. It’s situated in central of Illinois but a bit to the east. Agriculture drives the economy with corn and soybeans as the main crops.
The Embarras River cuts through the Greenup, which is popular for canoeing. The county is named after the Cumberland Road, which is now Route 40.
Woodlands cover the southern part and they’re great for hunting. The county fair is especially popular, bringing in everyone together each summer.
