Edwards County, Kansas

Edwards County stretches across south-central Kansas, home to about 2,900 people. Kinsley, the county seat is exactly halfway between New York and San Francisco. There’s even a sign.
The county’s big on wheat and milo farming with combines all over the place come harvest time. If you’re into birding, Quivira National Wildlife Refuge is just a short drive away east.
The Fort Larned National Historic Site, while technically in the next county over, is a must-see if you’re in the area. U.S. Highway 50 and 283 intersect at Kinsley. This is it.
