Fremont County, Wyoming

Fremont County is huge. It sits right in the middle of Wyoming, taking up a big chunk of the state’s west-central region. You’ll find some of the most stunning landscapes here.
The Wind River Range dominates the western part, with peaks that’ll take your breath away. It’s not all mountains though. The county has high desert, red rock formations, and winding rivers too.
The county is also home to most of the Wind River Indian Reservation. This gives the area a rich cultural heritage that’s worth exploring. Lander, the county seat, is a cool little town with a laid-back vibe. Oh, and don’t forget about the wild horses roaming free on the range.
