Campbell County, Wyoming

Campbell County occupies a chunk of northeastern Wyoming. Gillette, the county seat, is known as the “Energy Capital of the Nation”. Coal is king here. The county produces more of it than any other place in the U.S.
But there’s more to Campbell County than just mining. The rolling prairies are home to massive herds of pronghorn and mule deer. Hunters flock here every fall.
It’s where the Old West is still alive and kicking. Rodeos are a big deal. The high school even has its own arena. Despite the boom-and-bust cycles of the energy industry, community spirit runs deep in Campbell County.
