Sublette County, Wyoming

You want wilderness? Sublette County has it all day long. This chunk of western Wyoming is one of the least populated counties in the state. It’s a land of extremes. Jagged peaks. Vast sagebrush flats. Pristine rivers.
The Wind River Range dominates the landscape. Visitors come from all over to explore it. Pinedale, the county seat, is a gateway to adventure. It’s also home to the Museum of the Mountain Man.
Energy production plays a big role in the local economy. But so does ranching. The Green River Drift cattle drive is a living piece of history. Wildlife is everywhere. Pronghorn, elk, moose… The county’s remoteness is both a challenge and a draw. It’s not for everyone. But those who love it, really love it.
