Greenup County, Kentucky

Greenup County is way up in northeastern Kentucky, almost where Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky all shake hands. The Ohio River forms its northern border, perfect for those who like their state lines wet.
Greenup is the county seat, located along the Ohio River to the east. It was named after the governor who never actually lived there (nice try, guys).
The county’s proud of its covered bridges. They’ve even got a festival for them. And if you’re a fan of country music, you might know Greenup County as the birthplace of Billy Ray Cyrus. Achy Breaky Heart, anyone?
