Harper County sits in south-central Kansas, right along the Oklahoma border. It’s classic prairie country with its wide open spaces.
The land’s mostly flat, but you’ll find some gentle hills and valleys carved out by the Chikaskia River. Anthony is the county seat. Wheat is the main crop grown here.
The county has a rich history. You can still see traces of the old Chisholm Trail in some spots. Community is important in Harper County. It’s where the pioneering spirit of the Old West is still alive and well.
