Sumner County, Kansas

Sumner County is in south-central Kansas, with Wellington as the county seat. It’s right on the Oklahoma border to the south.
Wheat farming is big here. They don’t call it the “Wheat Capital of the World” for nothing. U.S. Highway 81 and Interstate 35 both run through this county.
Wellington has this neat little Chisholm Trail Museum if you’re into cowboy history. It’s pretty rural here. But it’s close enough to Wichita if you need a city fix.
