Hood County sits about 35 miles southwest of Fort Worth in North Central Texas. It’s named after John Bell Hood, a Confederate general.
Lake Granbury, a man-made reservoir on the Brazos River, brings in lots of locals and tourists. Granbury, the county seat, has a fun historic square.
