Howard County sits in the middle of Missouri. The Missouri River forms its southern border. Rolling hills and fertile farmland characterize much of the county.
Fayette is the county seat and is home to Central Methodist University. It’s conveniently situated in the center of the county, near Fayette Lake.
History runs deep here. The Boonslick area was one of the earliest settled regions west of the Mississippi. You can still see traces of the Santa Fe Trail. These days, it’s a mix of old and new. Century-old brick buildings stand alongside modern amenities.
