Chariton County, Missouri

Chariton County is up in north-central Missouri. It’s farm country here. The land here is flat and fertile, perfect for growing crops.
Keytesville is the county seat and is the hometown of Sterling Price, a Confederate general. The county’s named after the Chariton River, which winds its way through the area.
It’s not all farmland, though. You’ve got some nice wooded areas along the river bottoms so hunting is really popular here, especially during deer season.
