Jack County, Texas

Jack County is in North Central Texas, west of Fort Worth. Jacksboro is the county seat, which has a fort worth checking out. The landscape’s a mix of prairie and rolling hills.
Ranching is still important here but so is hunting. The county has some lakes that draw fishermen. Oil and gas have played a role in the local economy.
You might see longhorns grazing in pastures. It can get pretty hot in the summer. Cold fronts in winter can be brutal. There’s a sense of history here like you can almost imagine what it was like in frontier days.
