The county seat, Lewisville, is a quiet town. Agriculture is the backbone of the economy here, with soybeans, cotton, and livestock being the main products.

The Red River forms part of the county’s western border. People come here to fish and do outdoor activities. U.S. Highway 82 runs through the county, connecting it to nearby Texarkana and beyond.
