Terry County, Texas

Terry County is in the South Plains region, right in the middle of wine country. It’s one of the most productive pumpkin-producing counties in the United States. Brownfield is the biggest town. It’s not huge, but friendly.
Farmers grow a lot of cotton, peanuts and pumpkins here. Terry County gets hot in the summer and can be bone-dry. But when it rains, watch out for storms.
The county has a rich agricultural heritage, with many families farming the same land for generations. It’s a tight-knit community. Football is king on Friday nights. And don’t miss the Terry County Fair if you’re in town come September.
