US Counties

Hutchinson County lies up in the Texas Panhandle. Borger is the biggest town but Stinnett is the county seat. Oil is a big deal here.

Irion County is a small piece of West Texas, not far from San Angelo. Mertzon is the county seat. It’s pretty sparsely populated.

Jack County is in North Central Texas, west of Fort Worth. Jacksboro is the county seat, which has a fort worth checking out.

Jackson County sits on the coastal plains of Texas, not far from Victoria and the Gulf of Mexico. Edna is the county seat.

Jasper County is deep in the Piney Woods of East Texas. It’s where the air smells of pine and history runs deep. Jasper is the county seat.

Jeff Davis County sits in the heart of far West Texas. It’s a land of vast skies and rugged beauty. Fort Davis is the county seat.

The Gulf Coast is calling, and Jefferson County answers. This piece of Southeast Texas is where the Lone Star State meets Louisiana.

You wouldn’t know it from looking, but Jim Hogg County has stories to tell. It’s tucked away in South Texas, not far from the Rio Grande.

Jim Wells County straddles the line between South Texas brush country and coastal plain. Alice, the county seat, calls itself the “Hub City”.

Johnson County is just south of Fort Worth. It’s a place where the suburbs give way to rolling hills. Cleburne is the county seat.

Jones County sits in the heart of West Texas. Ranching and farming are still a way of life here. The landscape is rugged but beautiful.

Karnes County is a place of contrasts. It’s right in the middle of South Texas. The county has deep Polish roots.

Kaufman County is located east of Dallas. The county has a bit of everything. Urban, suburban, rural. Kaufman is the county seat here.

The Texas Hill Country doesn’t get much prettier than Kendall County. Boerne, the county seat, is a piece of small-town heaven.

Kenedy County is down on the Gulf Coast in southern Texas. You’ll find miles of pristine beaches and some of the best fishing spots in Texas.
