US Counties

Henry County hugs the North Carolina border in south-central Virginia. It’s Piedmont country, gently rolling hills and hardwood forests.

Highland County sits high in the Allegheny Mountains, right on the West Virginia border. They call it “Virginia’s Little Switzerland”.

Hopewell is an independent city in the central part of Virginia. It’s near the confluence of the James and Appomattox rivers.

King and Queen County is located in eastern Virginia. It’s a long, narrow county stretching from the Middle Peninsula towards Richmond.

King George County occupies a scenic piece of northeastern Virginia. It’s perched on the Potomac River, situated to the north.

King William County sits between Richmond and the Middle Peninsula in eastern Virginia. The county has a rich Native American heritage.

The Northern Neck of Virginia is home to Lancaster County. The Rappahannock River hugs the south while the Chesapeake Bay is in the east.

Lee County sits at Virginia’s westernmost tip, wedged between Kentucky and Tennessee. The Appalachians are the highlight.

Lexington is an independent city located in the western part of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. It lies along the Maury River.

Loudoun County is just a stone’s throw from Washington D.C. Leesburg is the county seat. It’s one of the wealthiest counties in the nation.

Louisa County sits right in the middle of Virginia, about an hour northwest of Richmond. It’s mostly rural, with farms and forests.

Lunenburg County lies deep in the heart of Southside Virginia. The county’s small with just over 12,000 folks calling it home.

Lynchburg is an independent city located in the central part of Virginia. It’s along the James River, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains.
