Texas Counties

Loving County is a place of extremes. It’s the least populous county in Texas, with only a handful of residents calling it home.

Lubbock County is right in the heart of the Texas High Plains. It’s flat as a pancake out here. The county seat, Lubbock, is a proper city.

Lynn County sits in Llano Estacado. It’s right in the middle of this vast plateau in northwest Texas. Tahoka is the county seat.

Madison County is a piece of the Piney Woods region in east-central Texas. It’s green here, real green. The county seat is Madisonville.

Water, water everywhere. That’s Marion County for you. This east Texas county is home to Caddo Lake, a maze of bayous and wetlands.

Martin County is out in West Texas. It’s oil country, plain and simple. Stanton, the county seat, is small but mighty.

Mason County is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. The Llano River cuts right through it, carving out the prettiest scenery.

Matagorda County is where the Colorado River meets the Gulf of Mexico. It’s miles of sandy beaches and fertile farmland here.

Maverick County sits in southwest Texas, next to Mexico. The Rio Grande forms the southern border, separating the two countries.

McCulloch County is in the heart of Texas. Brady, the county seat, calls itself the “Heart of Texas”. And they’ve got a monument to prove it.

McLennan County sits right in the heart of Texas. It’s home to Waco. The county has a mix of city life and open country.

McMullen County is in South Texas. Tiny population, big on character. You’ll find it about halfway between San Antonio and Corpus Christi.

Medina County is just west of San Antonio in the Texas Hill Country. The county is named after the Medina River, which winds its way through.

Menard County is right in the middle of Texas. The San Saba River runs through it, green and inviting. Menard is the only real town.

Midland County sits in the Permian Basin, right in the middle of West Texas. They call Midland, the county seat, the “Tall City”.
