Cottle County, Texas

Cottle County is in North Texas, close to the Oklahoma border. This little slice of cowboy heaven is home to some of the toughest ranchers you’ll ever meet. Rodeos are a way of life here. It’s hot. It’s dry. But man, is it beautiful.
The county seat is Paducah. It might be small, but it has more character than cities ten times its size. You can’t miss the stunning Matador Wildlife Management Area because it’s a haven for both hunters and nature lovers.
Cottle County’s history runs deep, with tales of Comanche raids and pioneer grit. These days, it’s all about cotton and cattle. And let’s not forget the OHV Park for anyone who likes going off-road. If you’re passing through, stop for a bite. The local diners serve up some mean chicken fried steak.
