Hall County is just east from Amarillo. It’s part of the Texas Panhandle, near the Oklahoma border. Memphis is the county seat in the northeast of the county.
The county is named after Warren Hall, a soldier in the Texas Revolution. Agriculture is the main game here with lots of cotton fields. The Prairie Dog Town Fork Red River cuts through the county, creating some dramatic landscape.
Locals love to fish in any of its rivers. It’s a quiet place, perfect for stargazing on clear nights. The sunsets here are spectacular. Hall County has that classic small-town Texas feel. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows their neighbors.
