Crittenden County sits right across the Mississippi River from Memphis, Tennessee. West Memphis, the largest city, is a major transportation hub thanks to its river port and interstate connections. 

Despite its urban areas, the county has plenty of natural beauty. Wapanocca National Wildlife Refuge is a haven for migratory birds and other wildlife.

The county is mostly flat Delta land, prime for agriculture. Also, the Southland Casino Racing in West Memphis is a major draw for visitors.
