Delta County sits on Colorado’s Western Slope, where mountains give way to mesas and valleys. The county seat is Delta, but Cedaredge and Paonia are also notable towns.

There’s a mix of old ranching families and newer folks drawn by the rural lifestyle. Farming includes orchards, vineyards, and vegetable farms dot the landscape. The area is known for its peaches and wine. 

The Gunnison River cuts through, popular for fishing and rafting. The Grand Mesa looms to the north, great for hiking and skiing. The population is around 32,000 people. It has slow but steady growth.
