Montrose County, Colorado

Montrose Location Map Colorado

Montrose County is on the western slope of Colorado. The main city is Montrose where you can enter into Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.

There is a lot of farming here like sweet corn. For example, Olathe is famous for its sweet corn festival. Telluride is just over the mountain if you want to hit the slopes.

U.S. Highway 50 runs through the county. The population is around 44,000 with Montrose (as I already mentioned) and smaller towns like Olathe and Naturita.
