Howard County, Texas

Howard County is out in West Texas. Big Spring is the biggest town and county seat. Oil has been a key driver of the economy here since the 1920s.
The landscape is pretty rugged. It has lots of mesquite and prickly pear. It gets hot in the summer. Big Spring State Park is a 200-ft. bluff, great for having picnics.
There’s an air force base nearby too. Hangar 25 Air Museum is worth a visit if you’re into planes. The county has its share of ranches. Some folks say you can see forever on a clear day.
