Leon County, Texas

They say everything’s bigger in Texas, but Leon County keeps things pretty low-key. You’ll find it in East Texas, between Dallas and Houston. The county is sandwiched between two rivers – the Trinity and the Navasota.
Centerville is the county seat, right in the middle of the county. It’s small, but it has character. The old courthouse is a beauty. Leon County has a lot of history tied to the Texas Revolution.
These days, it’s mostly about ranching and oil. The locals are friendly. They’ve got that easy East Texas charm. And if you’re lucky, you might spot an alligator in the Trinity River bottomlands.
