Robertson County is right in the heart of the Brazos Valley. It’s named after Sterling C. Robertson, an early Texas settler. Franklin, the county seat, is a fun little town with a beautiful courthouse square.
This is where the Blackland Prairie meets the East Texas Piney Woods. The land is fertile and perfect for farming. Cotton and corn are big crops here. The county has a rich history. It played a role in the Texas Revolution.
These days, it’s known for its excellent hunting and fishing. Folks here are proud of their barbecue. You can often smell it wafting through the air on weekends. The population’s been growing slowly but steadily. People are discovering the charms of small-town Texas life.
