Meade County is in north-central Kentucky, hugging the Ohio River to the north. Brandenburg is the county seat. It has a view of the river that’ll make you want to write poetry.
The county’s got some nice parks for camping and hiking. There’s a big limestone quarry. It’s not exactly a tourist spot, but impressive to see.
The Otter Creek Outdoor Recreation Area is a local favorite. It’s a 2,600 acre park with hiking, fishing, and beautiful views. U.S. Route 31W and 60 run through the county.
