Trego County is in west-central Kansas, with WaKeeney as the county seat. They call WaKeeney the “Christmas City of the High Plains” because of their holiday light display.
It’s mostly rolling prairie here, good for farming and ranching. Cedar Bluff Reservoir is nearby, with the surrounding Cedar Bluff State Park.
The county has some chalk badlands that are pretty unique for Kansas. There are about 3,000 folks who live in Trego County. The community makes you feel right at home.
