Butler County, Alabama
Butler County is in south Alabama. Greenville’s the biggest town. About 20,000 people live in the whole county. I-65 runs right through it. This brings in travelers and truckers. The county’s older than the state itself.
Hank Williams grew up here, learning to play guitar on Greenville’s streets. There’s a cool old drive-in theater still operating. Chicken is a key industry here with lots of poultry farms around.
The county has a rich history in timber and textiles. But it’s also home to the annual Watermelon Jubilee, a local favorite. The area’s forests and rolling hills make it a peaceful place.
