Covington County, Alabama
Covington County is down in south Alabama, just above the Florida line. The county was named after Brigadier General Leonard Covington, a war hero. There are a bunch of Civil War sites if you’re into that.
Conecuh National Forest is partly in Covington, which is good for camping and hiking. U.S. Highway 84 and U.S. Highway 331 criss-crosses the county. The Conecuh National Forest also touches the southern edge for hiking and hunting.
Andalusia is the county seat, located in the center of the county. They often host the World Championship Domino Tournament. Bet you didn’t see that coming.
