Conecuh County is down in south Alabama. The county’s name means “land of cane” in Muskogee. The county is a small with only about 12,000 people. Evergreen is the county seat.
Interstate 65 cuts through it, so it’s not that quiet. Hunting and fishing are popular pastimes, including deer, turkey, and more. There is plenty of game and fish to be found.
Conecuh County makes some of the most famous sausages. People swear by it. The Sepulga River runs through it. This makes it good for canoeing if you don’t mind a few gators. There are also lots of longleaf pines here.
