Nebraska Counties

Central Nebraska is home to Merrick County. The Platte River runs right through it, along the eastern border. Central City is the county seat.

Morrill County sits in the Nebraska Panhandle. It’s way out there. Bridgeport’s the county seat. Small town, but it’s got character.

Nance County is in east-central Nebraska. Fullerton’s the biggest town. The Loup River runs through here for some nice views.

Nemaha County is in southeast Nebraska. The county is a mix of farmland and forest so it’s not what most people expect from Nebraska.

Nuckolls County is in south-central Nebraska, located right on the Kansas border. Superior is the biggest town but Nelson is the county seat.

Otoe County sits in the southeast corner of Nebraska, right next to Iowa. Nebraska City, the county seat, is right on the Missouri River.

Pawnee County is down in the southeast corner of Nebraska, bordering the state of Kansas. Pawnee City is the county seat. All 900 people.

Perkins County is out in southwest Nebraska, bordering Colorado. It’s farm country here. Grant’s the county seat.

Phelps County sits right in the heart of south-central Nebraska. Holdrege is the biggest town and the county seat.

Northeast Nebraska is home to Pierce County. It’s farm country through and through. Pierce, the county seat, is a small town.

Platte County is in eastern Nebraska. Columbus, the county seat, is the heart of it all. It’s a mix of river valleys and rolling hills.

Polk County is in the middle of eastern Nebraska. Osceola is the county seat. The county’s location makes it a central spot for local events.

Red Willow County is tucked away in southwest Nebraska, along the state of Kansas border. McCook is the biggest town and county seat.

The southeast corner of Nebraska is where Richardson County calls home. It’s on the Missouri River, bordering Kansas and Missouri.

Rock County is up in north-central Nebraska. It’s part of the Sandhills region. Bassett is the county seat on US Highway 20.
